As a result of the explosion and destruction of reactor number 4 of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, a massive amount of radioactive isotopes were released into the atmosphere. Squads of liquidators were sent out to combat this invisible and deadly enemy. They were not heroes, yet they were called upon to perform heroic deeds. Many of them paid with their own health, and even their lives…
